Cake Tastings: Do you need to a wedding to experience a cake tasting? Not at my Bakery! I always have samples available for clients if you’d like to try samples before purchasing a cake. Simple understand a few guidelines before coming in.

* Samples are not as fresh as your cake will be - they are never more than a few weeks old as they go quickly however, I make lots of samples as I tend to have LOTS of walk ins asking to try my cake flavors. ( I even welcome the other bakers pretending to be potential clients researching my recipes- come introduce yourself, dont be shy, I love talking cake, I just wont share my secrets)
* Wedding and large party events need to be scheduled for designing purposes- anyone can try my cakes but if you need more than just to sit and snack, please schedule an appt. It’s important to me. Walk ins will be redirected to my website or phone number to text for scheduling. I’m not trying to be rude, i’m very short staffed and I have to focus on the orders for that week.
*I never put a time limit on my meetings- we have a lot to discuss, why would I limit our ability to create your masterpiece cake.

How do you determine delivery fee’s?
This one is simple-ish.
Take your wedding venue location and then google that from where Not Your Ordinary Cakes is ( 189 Gulf Fwy S. League city TX 77573).
Mileage from the bakery to the venue location is $1.25 miles to and from the location.
Now Add $25 for a set up fee. This is for your flowers, mayb
How do you determine delivery fee’s?
This one is simple-ish.
Take your wedding venue location and then google that from where Not Your Ordinary Cakes is ( 189 Gulf Fwy S. League city TX 77573).
Mileage from the bakery to the venue location is $1.25 miles to and from the location.
Now Add $25 for a set up fee. This is for your flowers, maybe I need to stack part of your cake?, there might be additional items that need attention involved. Either way every wedding cake needs additional attention when at the venue that a set up fee is needed. ( if I believe the set up will require longer or need more than 1 person than an hour this fee will increase.
If you have two cakes ( a wedding cake and a grooms cake. These fee’s do not double. But remain the same - two cakes one fee)
Any venue less than 40 miles from Not Your Ordinary Cakes automatically incur a $50 delivery fee for incidental possibilities.

*Cake Cutting
This begins at $300 for 8 hours.
You may not believe you need me for 8 hours but when you think about it, I arrive 2 hours before your wedding. Set up, wait until reception. Stand pretty while everyone comes to reception. Answering questions for all your relatives and friends about the creation before them. Wait several hour

Answering questions for all your relatives and friends about the creation before them. Wait several hours while everyone gives speeches. And then by the end of the night I get to cut the cake. If a wedding begins at 4. I’ve arrived at 2 and I haven’t left until 10 ( if all goes to plan) most times I leave closer to Midnight. So I am at weddings for the entire evening and afternoon. I clean up, box up, and as my husband likes to say provides comic relief to your guests during the event at times.
Usually this also includes a second helper as two people are needed for cake cutting and serving. This service is also beneficial when renting cake stands as I dont charge for the rental if I’m present and can take the stands home.
* Need a photographer? Ask how you can combine this option with services for NYOPhotographer located two doors down from my bakery. Packages can be created.
*Cake Stand Rental
Some of these stands, dividers, height res are very expensive peices of equipment and thus are priced based on how much it cost to purchase. It’s impossible to price online. All stands etc are $25 to rent once returned.
